Howdy! Red Dead Redemption is Finally Coming to Switch!
I have to admit that I haven’t been up to date with a lot of recent news on Rockstar Games, which is pretty much the reason why I missed out on the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, for better or for worse. It’s also the reason why I was blindsided by this news as well.
You probably already know all about Red Dead Redemption. It was a groundbreaking title that came out way back in 2010, only on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. But now, on August 17, the single player version of the game will be made available on the Nintendo Switch, along with the PlayStation 4.
I have to admit that I haven’t played this game in years, and so it’s going to be great to hop back in the saddle. This is a game that dominated many after-class evenings. And as much as I enjoyed Red Dead Redemption 2, I really miss my old Xbox 360 games.
Rockstar is calling this a “conversion”, and is being handled by Double Eleven, a British studio that has done some work on various game ports, from Lego Harry Potter to Fallout 76.
The classic game is also coming with Undead Nightmare, a standalone DLC pack which allows John Marston to fight hordes of the living dead. The game will be digitally available on Nintendo’s eShop for $50, and physical copies will launch in October this year.
Anyways, I hope this little tidbit of news is good news for you too! Once I learn more news on this upcoming game, I will probably try it out and voice my thoughts.
Until next time, wherever you live in the world, have fun, and happy gaming!
