Stardew Valley for Nintendo Switch Launches Tomorrow!

Stardew Valley will be released for the Nintendo Switch on October 5, and I could not be any happier! The indie farming simulator that was originally launched last year for the Xbox and PlayStation is now getting the Nintendo treatment on the Switch.

I’ve been hearing a lot of rumors that the port was in the works, but up until now, we’ve never really had any idea of when that was going to be done.

Well now, the wait is finally order!

I may have already bought the Steam version of the game, but having a portable version sounds almost too good to be true.

Stardew Valley is a farming simulator which is heavily inspired by Harvest Moon, in which the players grow crops and livestock, build a farm, and interact with the residents of the local town.

It seems like a pretty clear cut premise, but this game goes above and beyond its “predecessor” for the sheer amount of things to do in the game. You can even fish and explore a large mine! And it was all developed by one single person.

The Switch version of Stardew Valley is going to launch with a price tag of $15, or about $18.72 for my fellow Canadians. As the game is a digital download, you will have to purchase the game through the eShop.

(Update: I found one on Amazon)
